    Not really.
Kris does not distribute it it - so there is no copyright violation in his part.
He got it from somewhere and uses it - that's it.
BlackBerry could only sue under two conditions:
    1) Kris told someone to leak the OS (hour hasn't and I would be surprised if he did)
    2) Kris distributes a leak - Because that is a copyright violation (but nothing else)

If they are clever, they could make Kris a Bets tester, and then he could not leak anything anymore...

    Same old story.
In my humble opinion leaks is a very easy and inexpensive way for BlackBerry to have their coming os tested by all of us. And without having to pay a single dime.

(which is totally fine for me)

No there will be no autoloader/file released to the public of any 10.2 OS. Apparently my video has sent BlackBerry into a security investigation. They're not to happy.

No. It still won't run apps with native code and not all android api's are supported.

Blackberry might listen but then chooses to ignore. So many easy things that they could very easily fix but choose not to such as adding a battery %, individual SMS tones and led for individual contacts, different volume profiles etc but they choose to change things that most people don't care about such as the loading symbol or autocorrection text colour.
First of all, the decision to release firmware updates are out of BlackBerry's control, but not deployment. It is the carriers' releasing the updates. Otherwise, there's no reason as to why Wang in Singapore would have a lower version number than Borat in Romania.

This is the reason why leaks are coming out from the back channels. Don't you think it'd be easy to isolate the leak at the corporate level? Is the CEO aware? You bet. Apple is good at it so what makes BlackBerry different?

If people are comparing the the rate of which BlackBerry releases software updates to celestial alignments, it would make perfect sense to cator to those who speaks loudest and that's us.

That might be their thinking. To be honest, I think "leaking" software with a clear Beta notice would be a very good approach for BlackBerry - it keeps users happy with new features and gives BlackBerry a lot of feedback.

But maybe it is not and we really do not know.

Nope I'm just trying to share as much as I can with the community. If I could leak it, and it was able to run as a stand alone 10.2 without the need to have side loaded applications aka app world, than maybe it could see its way to day light but still I'm not the one with the last word on if/when it goes live

Hopefully BlackBerry will not trouble you more as their priority now would be to add more features and to make the build more stable...so that we could get official 10.2 soon...
But I am always open to any leaks that come in my way

He's implying that if he were given a job as an official beta tester he'd have to sign and NDA. Should he accept of course.

So I take it that Maps Landscape is new?
Does maps let you tap on the "minutes / distance" status bar and toggle the ETA and current time yet?

Sure, it's great that I'll get to the destination in 37 minutes - but what time will it be then?

Such a simple but important feature.
