And ..... what does it have over 10.1?
Just a few things. Like an updated android runtime (4.x) and the ability to run headless apps...though I presume developers will have to recompile using the new SDK once that's released.

    Y'know, nothing major.

Question for game/emulator devs or some technical dudes:
It says that with BB QNX 10.2 we can use usb port not only as output but input too, so do you think that we could connect Dualshock3 controller and play games with, I think in theory it's possible to intercept information from D+ and D- as it's a simple serial communication, I was wondering if the OS would actually allow it for security matters. Any ideas?

The headless app thing is big, particularly for monitoring and customization apps such as "WhoIsIt" and the BatteryGuru.

For other things, not so much -- and I fear that it will get abused bigtime. You really only want very light-weight in both memory and CPU things to run headless; if abused the impact on system resources (especially power and memory!) can get truly extreme in a bad sort of way.

Headless Apps won't be supported until 10.2 goes Gold in August...just putting that out there.

Regardless of when it is implemented, I think most people expect some sort of process manager to allow users control over background apps. I could really use that right now, since my battery life fluctuates rather wildly. So...it would be nice to see a process manager makes its way into the early 10.2 builds, ahead of full implementation of background apps.

Exactly, if we going to have headless apps, a task manager is an absolute need.

I hope 10. 2 have better maps. Although, it works now, I just wished it allowed me to navigate to a point besides from 'my location'.

I also find it tedious to check the date when you are not at the home/app drawer view. You would have to minimize the app, then pull down on the quick menu. It would be nice to just be able to peek and have the date show as well.

They also better have panoramic shot available. This has pretty much become standard in phones. Well, the ones I had in the past.

We may see a leak but I think it will not be very polished. I'll still gladly load it.

I hope that it includes the updated fix for the 2-way sync. I may be the only one out there that does anymore. I thought it was just on the Link software (undate to come) but I read that it was on both the link update and the os update. Need it badly!

While in app just peak...swipe up from the bottom slightly and the date and top menu bar will show up...very quick way to see time, and unlike iPhone where the menu is always there, we get complete full screen usage!

When you peek, you only get the time. The date is not posted anywhere unless you pull down on the quick menu.

In fact, the only time that the date will pop up when peeking is when your phone is searching for a signal.

    Observe exhibit A and B

You can't navigate from one selected place from another, that makes no sense. You are not there.
But you can plan a route from whatever point A to B by going to my places > tap and hold a place you want to use as point B > plan route > tap where it says "my location " on Start: > select another point A >

As a result you get these:

    10.2.0**** waiting room-img_00000645.png
    10.2.0**** waiting room-img_00000646.png

I'm pretty sure that's what you want. In case it's not, then sorry.

And the date's on the hub.
