How can I turn off in-app browser?
On the CB10 app? Swipe down, go into settings, where it says "open urls", select BlackBerry browser

How about a fix in the browser for websites with drop down mouse over menus. Currently drop down menus do not work.

New spinner circle, and yes its to replace the blue loading one
I like the current one. Sometimes it feels like BlackBerry are making tweaks to less important things just because they can when they need to be actively squashing bugs and optimising code.

I disagree, they need to come up with an effective icon or logo for BBM Channels if they want to create it into a brand. Just think of Twitter, Faccebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc they all have logos that only require a glance before people know what they are.

    Hey Kris...

Thanks for all your hard work. You and the other leak guru (Ibfe??). You guys are what make CrackBerry addicting. I'm suggesting that you create a PayPal donation page so that the next coffee and possibly late night snack is on me.

Keep 'em fresh, tested, and uploaded.

Haven't seen this posted yet, so for those who don't know about the developer roadmap: https://developer.blackberry.com/nat...nload/roadmap/

Everything tagged as N7 and N8 is promised for 10.2 gold. Of course, there will be betas for developers (late June for the first?), so I sure hope nobody here is expecting 10.2 final release before much later this year.

As for a process manager, don't count on it. At the Jam we were more or less told (in one of the sessions) that they don't plan on offering that, even via an API for developers to use. I presume if that's really the case that it's a "user experience" decision of some sort, though I don't agree with it (not having heard a good rationalization yet).

It might be something where you would like to provide some feedback in advance to BlackBerry, letting them know that as a user you would really prefer to have greater transparency about what is running, and perhaps the ability to kill it. On the flip side, they will have much greater control over what can run headless than they used to, and intend to be stricter about approving apps that want to run all the time in the background. With the BB10 invocation features, many past use-cases for "runs all the time" will be eliminated, so maybe it won't be as bad as it used to be, or as we fear...
BB10 doesn't need a separate task manager app, as it's core is QNX - wait and see how BlackBerry implement the Headless API's first, Peter.

Joyn is the successor to SMS and MMS. It's similar to BBM and WhatsApp but every carrier can build their own infrastructure. Unlike WhatsApp it doesn't upload your phonebook to a centralized server and it can't be controlled by a single company.

Is Joyn a cross-platform replacement for text messages?

It's amazing how much time and interest I put into upgrading my phone. Couldn't wait to get the Z, now can't wait to spend lots of time upgrading it every few days. But it is my major hobby, what can I say.
I'm sure this reflects the sentiment of many of us here hahaha

If you had bothered to read through the previous pages, he shown a screen shot of the version of the Android runtime player and it is still 2.3.3 on the build he has.

I'm not a software guy but it seems like there is concurrent development of 10.1 and 10.2, or have BlackBerry developed the last version of 10.1 and building10.2 on top of it now?

    Posted via CB10
In software it's called branching. You take base code and branch off into two directions. So, you improve 10.0 bugs and implement 10.1 features. 10.2 will largely be new API code. So you develop in parallel. 10.2 doesn't worry about the 10.1 issues that may exist. And in the end, you merge the 10.1 and 10.2 branches together and you end up with 10.2 "final".

This is a gross over simplification that is more representative of how one small piece of the OS would be developed. But it is good enough in order to understand it conceptually.

Suffice it to say that version control is a very well known topic in the software world. Along with a good design for the software, management is not that bad unless your design is bad. Companies like BBRY that have 20+ years in software development probably have a very good process in place.

You can't navigate from one selected place from another, that makes no sense. You are not there.
But you can plan a route from whatever point A to B by going to my places > tap and hold a place you want to use as point B > plan route > tap where it says "my location " on Start: > select another point A >

As a result you get these:

Are you on 10.1? There's no such option as "Plan route" on 10.0
