Up until this release the various leaks of 10.2 had a cool blue squared circle to show boot progress.
This latest 11.57 DEV build boots much more like a PlayBook did - completely with psychedelic colours and clouds.

Is this common for all DEV builds or just this one? (Just wondering if anything might port easier to the PlayBook now...)
That's just the os loading screen for dev builds. I wish they had it in the full os. I like the loadi.g screen better then what is on the full os.

No changes in the BT files.

Thanks - I see that. The BT functionality (stack) is really poor. I'm sure that with enough developer feedback from the SDK it will get fixed.

Next step - -checking on wifi direct and USB hosting. Really want to be able to use an Xbox or other controller with my Z.

I loaded the radio, android player and settings to my Z10 running 1047. Spot no different so far. Only in Network connection I see this IMS thing.

    See: IMS Infrasound Network

This is for the altimeter. The IMS network helps to measure air pressure - and will assist your device in determining its current altitude.

Nope. The altimeter is something built into the phone and it'll be relatively accurate. I don't recall if the Z10 has an altemeter. I know a few flagship android phones do.

IMS in this context refers to the IP Multimedia Sub system. Basically, it's the next generation of 'behind the scenes' cell networking. It'll also be how VoLTE is 'piped'. Lots more here:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Multimedia_Subsystem

But basically, it's a new fangled way to move data from your phone to the internet over the cellular network.

Nice to have more and more sources for our os10 devices. Be it for being complete or incomplete the forum itself made it clear it is not about place to release official (complete) OSes.

    Thanks lawguymen

The response of BlackBerry leaks proves otherwise.

There will never be a full OS version of 1157
1157 version number tells us already that it is an SDK OS
This isn't to say that another 10.2 full OS isn't going to be released, but just not for this same OS
There isn't a way to make it "complete", because some components are missing in the core OS
Even IF we could add in all the apps into 1 autoloader for this OS, many functions still won't be fully functional
This is a fair beginning to the list of reasons I likely won't be building any new hybrids (YET) with these resources.

In the event we get later leaks that need a newer radio, this will be handy.

Interesting, maybe I can gauge performance using this build. After all, I probably won't need everything except email, call, sms, music, video, Browser and third-party apps.

    - Alarm Clock Worked
    - Weather App Worked
    - Pictures + Editor Worked
    - Remember Works
    - Videos Works
    - Music Player Works

    *WhatsApp from BBWorld Works

The only part not functional so far is Device Monitor is App Manager
