Not needed a prior radio file so far. Battery life has been no worse than before. I'll stick.

As I understand it, the autoloader install doesn't always clean up all the "thrash", i.e. file fragmentation, from the previous OS. Wiping after installing the new OS removes third-party apps and user settings, effectively restoring the phone to factory condition.
i see.. thanks for the input ..
So what everyone is trying to say is.... Every release since .1880 is a battery killer
    couldn't agree more
still monitoring the 2354 battery life after a night charge..

With this OS, as well as with .2342 my networking is showing up as 4GLTE rather then just LTE as the stock OS did. Does anyone know if it signifies anything, or is it just the way the carrier this os was intended for prefers to display it?

    Posted via CB10
Yeah its just how the carrier wants to display their network symbol.

I'm sticking with the 2354OS with the 2355 radio for now. I'm on Verizon (-4) and used the sachup/sachibar method after bricking my phone and reloading the stock OS. With successive leaks having been installed on my phone and Kris' assertion that 2342 was rejected by BB, I wanted to start clean instead of installing on top of 2342.

After the install, battery life was horrible so I let it drain out completely overnight and recharged it this morning. The charge was completed at 11AM CT. I've been using it lightly today: couple of phone calls, social media and about 2 hours of streaming Pandora in the car using BT. WiFi and BT have been on most of the day and I'm on 4GLTE As I write this, Battery Guru shows this:

    10.1.0.2354 Autoloader for STL100-2//3/4-battlife.jpg

Also since it was installed on top of VZW stock OS (I used Upgrade not Debrick in Sachup), the Software Release shows "10.0.9.422" (the latest Verizon release), not "10.1.0.2312" or "No Information Available". The phone is now running .2354 though which is much, much better than anything I had before.

    10.1.0.2354 Autoloader for STL100-2//3/4-not2312.jpg

We'll see how the battery holds up. If it starts draining too quickly, I may revert back to 1917 since that is VZW. The b!tch about that is that I may have to reload the OS since I've read a few pages back that flashing a radio file over a sachup/sachibar install bricks the phone. Do we know that for sure? The point may be moot anyways since Ibfe mentioned somewhere else that a Verizon leak of this OS is coming sometime this weekend.

It would seem that isn't correct.. Kris appears to have some insight. Waiting to hear back...

    Does your MMS work?

    Posted via CB10
Now that you mention it, it appears it doesn't. Can't remember the last time I sent an mms, but I just did to test and I go an error 'General Problems'.

I assume I can load just the radio files from a known good version using sanchibar? Is that the best solution?

Can't wait to get home from business trip and upgrade my -2 to. 2354 from .273

As for battery life, I noticed one thing when I got z10 in hands - the very first charge was drained in 4-6 hours, I kept the phone alive until it switched off. The second charge showed a battery life waaay much better with the same load.
Could it be something with internal calibration?

Ok, a little surprise for me:
After fiddling about, ny battery drain overnight was as low as it used to be.

So: I guess just using autoloaders does not remove everything and might leave something behind from the last OS...

    No.

It is because using the autoloader some information goes missing along the way.

If you used Sachup and applied the upgrade files, it shows the software version. Somebody on this thread suggested it is a meta data file that goes missing.

You have to security wipe to get the network indicators to show up the way your network wants.

Starting day three after full charge with 37% battery and only 4% battery drain overnight. Yesterday entire day wifi on and later 2G phone without wifi. Very impressive and needless to say I am pretty happy.

So had been running the original OS on my Verizon Z10 with no issues like reboots and such but loaded my first leak (2009) when that hit the forums. I really wanted the Moog app which didn't work on anything less than 10.1. Well loved 2009, except started having the nightly on charger reboots in bedside mode issue. Became really bummed over that enough that I was going to go back to the original OS but yesterday I decided to try this latest leak and use Sachibar methods. Never done it that way, but must say it went really smoothly and I had no issues during the upgrade. I didn't do the security wipe or use another radio file. Just took the phone off the charger from the first bedside mode trial and no reboots. Also did not have the mms issue or so far any issues whatsoever! Hoping this last.

    Curiosity observation.....

Frist downgrading via BlackBerry Link reload and then adding in the autoloader returns the black sharing menu?

At least it is black now.

What this indicates is, that the updates are slightly messy in the background and suggests that some packages are not as complete as they should be because in theory every time the autoloader get used everything should be updated....
