Well, I cannot confirm this. For me, battery life is worse than before. The Z10 idly lying on my desk gets me battery drain between 6 and 10% per hour.
Maybe I should try some other version of the radio files.
Sorry to hear. Within the last 4 hours, i lost 5% with moderate usage over wifi. Tty the radio files, hope it works out. 2354 is a very smooth OS for me.

I haven't read all these posts, but what seems to be the big difference with this leak?
For ME, .1880 seemed to have the fastest browser. The browser seemed to slow down with .2009 & .2354

    MMS not working. General problem.
I'm using STL100-2 on EE network in the UK.
Will a back up and restore fix this?

That was normal for me from day one about 10% an hour from carrier os thru all the leaks, (idle) with the .2342 it got worse I flashed the .2009 radio and was about half that on idle, I've been using the .2354 for a few days now and it's about half of the .2009 flash on idle so for me its a big improvement I have a 100-3 on at&t, I did the sachup debrick with an .1880 restore after loading. 2342, I never have had a reboot issue other than when I first got the phone and still dont, if it came down to bad batt life over reboot I would choose bad batt life

First off, thank you for bringing attention to this "leak".

With the STL100-2 I'm on Swedish carrier Telia SE and so far this version seems to have less battery drain than the radio on 2342.
At least for 3G/UMTS - for 4G/LTE I'm not sure yet, it has to settle/idle a bit longer to be sure.

Kris should we (rephrase: do you believe would be a good practice to) upload 1917 radio files?
On my phone they worked perfectly with 2342.

Now with 2354 the battery consumption is a bit high.

Furthermore, can I use sachibar whenever I want to "refresh" the same OS?
Can I and if I can, will it revert the radio files to the ones that come with 2354?

    Thank you.

Battery life is an issue. I pulled my Z10 off the charger at 6:30am EST, and now at 9:30ish I am down to 50%. For 2 hours of the time the phone sat untouched while I prepared for a garage sale.

Everything else seems fine. Auto switching between WIFI and 4GLTE does not disconnect my Gmail like before and the OS is very responsive.

    Not sure what to do.

Noticed over lunch that for the first time my network is showing as 3G. Usually, it shows 4G. Thought I saw some mention of that on previous pages so it is back to searching through the thread for probable cause and solution, if any..
Cause from regional update menu, radio fragmentation, and the radio connecting to either a distance tower or old cell technology tower. Most towers have been updated to report 4G for 3G/H+, some older towers haven't been touched. A security wipe will remedy that problem.
A security wipe (after reloading using autoloader) did resolve the problem; thank you. Battery life is a bit horrendous so far - 17% in 3.5 hours with minimal usage. Will watch it for the next 24-48 hours.

That might have limited usefulness, if any, as people not only use their phones differently but also have different configurations and numbers/variety of apps, including sideloads, that may affect battery life.

Too soon for initial impressions, but the reason I upgraded was that I was on 2342 and it started out with phenomenal battery life, better than 1880 on my device: the Battery Guru power consumption line was basically flat except for the times I was using the device vs. the usual case of little peaks and valleys due to background processing, etc- I could easily go 24+ hours with moderate usage on a charge (1 or 2 short phone calls, a few texts/BBMs, a bit of web surfing).. That lasted about 4 days, and then I started seeing higher battery drain.. Now don't get me wrong, it was still pretty darned good, especially compared to the 10.0 releases, but it was not what I was seeing initially.. Reboots and attempts at "Task Killer" runs (which are actually pretty dangerous: unlike the Playbook version which basically acted as a non-reboot system cleanup, on the Z10, it can actually *cause* instability) which used to resolve problems with Android apps (in particular the Ebay app) doing bad things in the background, did not restore the amazing battery performance I saw at the outset, and to make things worse, the browser in 2342 kept locking up, especially with Flash videos- Youtube and most video sites were unusable, and cache clearing did not help, plus the fact that 2342 was reported to have failed testing led to my losing confidence in this release, so I did the 2354 upgrade last night...

Anyways, since this was an official release, I used SachUp and SachiBar to do an in-place upgrade- which saved me 3 hours (1 hr to backup, 1.5 to restore, .5 to restore settings/sideloads) vs. the autoloader, and all my apps and settings are still in place and working perfectly as far as I can tell.. I'm on Rogers (Fido), and my SMS/MMS are working fine, get the "LTE" symbol, so everything seems to in order.. And, I was able to simply delete the unnecessary .bar files for preloaded apps that I don't use, like FourSquare and Facebook, before I dragged the directory onto Sachibar, so I didn't have to go through the process of deleting them from the phone afterwards.. I think all future leaks should be based on Sachibar vs. autoloaders (you can always create your own autoloader if you need once you have the bars anyways)..

One last comment- It's interesting that the Romanian service provider chose to bundle two Android apps as part of their release: Deezer and DailyMotion.. I'm going to start another thread about service provider bundled apps on the main OS forum....

Two quick questions: Can I upgrade an already installed 2354 (I want to remove some apps that I never use as you did), and, if I remove the apps will they just get pushed back by my carrier (T-Mobile)? I other words I want to remove some carrier bloatware.

And thanks for the detailed writeup

Even after using the autoloader option, is it still necessary to do a security wipe afterwards??

I dont use the restore option but manually add emails again and download my apps again.

Never really had any issues as such, mainly the battery drain and battery getting quite warm is hat im noticing...

    Thanks in advance
