Have had my shiny new Z10 for a week now and absolutely love it! A sacrifice I had to make as an early adopter was that I can't get my corporate e-mail/contacts on there until Q2 of this year (since BES7 doesn't support BB10 devices and BES admin has further testing to do with BES10).

However, I was thinking sideloading the Good for Enterprise app (Android version) since my company supports it as well. Do you think this will work? Has anyone tried?

    BB10 Rocks!

Had the same result - perhaps an older version of the app is needed?

I hope someone reading this thread is a developer or someone that can make a good bar file for us to sideload

    This should be a sticky.

My company pushed back BEZ10 launch until 3rd quarter of this year!

Hate carrying around my iPod touch to access Good Email.

With Z10, So used to swipe gestures, and the hub is amazing.

    Death to the home button!

I agree about making this a sticky. I currently use an iPhone 4S and WISH I could have the new Z10. My company doesn't support BES10 (yet/ever?) but does support Good. I can't stand Good, but would love to have the Z10 instead. It felt great holding it and I love the keyboard.

In any event, let's hope someone figures out how to get Good on BB10 so we can use it while we wait for corporate IT to do all the necessary tests on BES10.

It kinda humors me that most blackberry fans are business users or just like the simplicity of the phone since it has all the functions a business user would want, but I called GOOD enterprise and asked "Are you going to make the app for BlackBerry App World "? Right away she said " we will never support blackberry "...mm WTH...why not?

I'm in a similar boat to others with my Z10. Although Good may have said 'never', they said 'not on the radar now' and pointed me to the wishlist item on their site:

Good Software on Blackberry 10 OS

Whilst waiting to see if anyone can get a version side-loaded, if people register and vote there it's more likely to get prioritised by Good themselves.

Same situation here. I used Good on my iPhone 4 for my work e-mail and lost that when I moved to BB10. My company has also pushed back the review of the BB10 until June or July. I can use the browser for my companies web mail interface but it is not my preference.

I'm affected by the same comany strategy (BYOD) and we still have 15000 BBuser. I would love to buy a Z10 now but without a solution in getting my company emails I have to stay on my 9860. Where we all struggling with the same issue it should be in BB interest in offering a workaround. I have read that the Andriod run time emulation my work with the Andriod Good client. Has somebody any news on that?

Well, I gave it a whirl after reading this article...have a look at the attached screenshots:

Granted, I haven't setup my enterprise account yet (a coworker had a problem with Good after unlocking his iPhone), but I will post back on Monday after I attempt to get it setup.

EDIT: 1. Sorry for the bad camera quality and 2. to find the .apk file, Google "good for enterprise .apk" and use the first link.

Are you able to share the BAR file?

Unfortunately, using the method I mentioned above, the BAR file can't be provided: the install will be individualized to each phone.

First attempt today gave me this:
    Sideloading Good for Enterprise?-good-no-go.jpg

My assumption is that good authenticates with the list of known compatible devices and that my serial number (registered with AT&T) may be telling the Good server that my device isn't on the "compatible list." That's just a hunch, so I'll annoy the Help Desk at my work with the question.

As any try to sideload the Good For Enterprise apk since the release of the 10.2 leak?

  22. cpvolvo's Avatar
I haven't, but I suspect it would be the same issue as 10.1. I think the good server doesn't recognize the phones serial number and won't get past authentication.

So you loaded Good for Enterprise, and connected to your corporate e-mail and this worked? This is the main reason I have not bought a Z10 yet. If Good for Enterprise can be proven to work I will go out and buy tomorrow.
