    Thanks to all the great posts in the forum, I finally downloaded my first Android app successfully and easily using the Google Chrome method.
    I would encourage other 'Newbies' to try is out.
    'Sideloading' seemed like such an exotic process way out of my league. The 'how to' posts were quite helpful at demystify the procedure and slowly it started to make sense to me.
    After fiddling with my firewall settings and finally realizing that my phone had to be connected to my pc everything went smoothly.

    Glad you figured it out.

    Also, you can Sideload wirelessly, using the Chrome extension.

    mydlink Lite is working well. Google maps crashes as well asGoogle Chrome Beta.
