I tried upgrading to 10.2.0.1047 over the weekend. Everything seemingly went well and I even restored my data successfully.

I setup all my accounts again and made sure all the apps were logged in. Then I eventually got my android sideloading going and put my programs back on. I opened up hill climb racing and noticed that all my progress in the game was gone! All my money and vehicles and courses: gone! For some reason the saved progress of the game from 10.1 to 10.2 did not save or keep in the same place. I slightly panicked.

So I reloaded 2354 with 1881 radio, then restored, sideloaded hill climb racing, started it up and noticed that all my progress was back in the game. I breathed a sigh of relief and finished off the weekend.

I have a dream that someday I will be able to upgrade my OS without having to lose progress in hill climb racing, OR the upgrade needs to be so wonderful that I am willing to give up my progress in hill climb racing. *whew*

p.s. I also did not enjoy the fact that the android apps all had that black bar across the bottom in 10.2.0.1047 (android app menu)

im not sure how you kept your progress with the other OS. Pretty sure you are suppose to lose all your progress and settings from sideloaded apps/games.

What Howard said, and downgrading because of a game seems a little bit too much.

I think there was a thread where somebody suggested sideloading your Android apps FIRST before restoring app data to retain any info you had previously. If you do it the other way (restore then sideload), there's no app on the device so the info isn't recognized.

Don't know how true this is though as I haven't had success myself.

The OP was supposed to be a bit humorous, so that's the reason why I wrote the post.

However, for the short time I had 10.2 loaded I didn't really see anything that made me want to absolutely not downgrade so I'm just back on 10.1 in the meantime.
