Is there any way to get Firefox working on the Z10? I am synching my data with Firefox, so it's a little bit enerving I can't use it on the Z10.

You can sideload it but it needs some serious work. It's a little laggy in my opinion. At first I thought it was just because of the old Android runtime in 10.1 but then I got a couple of friends to let me try it on their Android devices and it was just as bad. Maybe with the latest update it got improved but I dunno. Maybe it's because they've been busy working on their mobile OS rather than fixing both the mobile and desktop versions of FF.

I believe this is the latest version of FF Mobile. v.23.0 https://app.box.com/s/kvvfslkj9w4f4x68liz9

They got blown out of the water by Chrome and Opera and they barely pushed past Internet Explorer in benchmarks. They have to get their stuff together. Been a hardcore FF user since 2005 or so. I hate seeing these watered down excuses for browsers beat them so hard.

If they beat Firefox so badly, how can they be watered down excuses for browsers? Just asking.

They lack any customization. In Opera for example, you can't have bookmarks. They force you to use Speed Dial. Look it up. You also get a very short list of options. Can't even turn off tabs being opened when you start Opera. It just opens whatever you left open when you closed it last.

So, are there any browsers that can import FF bookmarks (maybe even passwords) and actually work on the z10?

None that I know of. The sideloaded version works amazing on 10.2. Try it out.

Erm not really. YOU look it up. I've used opera for years. I have fully customised my browser. Yes I have Speed Dial but that is just a quick access to your favourite pages. I have multiple bookmarks saved in the BOOKMARK FOLDER. Lastly you can choose how you want Opera to open. Home page, last page you were on or speed dial page.

Then you're not on the latest update. Sorry, try again. I have all browsers on my PC except for Chrome. I'd know. Thanks for your effort to sound smart but you've failed.

Right ok then. Latest version is 17.0.1241.45. Why you still think I don't know. I also run Opera Next as I develop for the standalone browser

What about Opera, does it work on the Z10? Could be an alternative.

It's garbage like it is on desktop and you'd also have to side load it.

yes, it works. But, as Shifty88 already kindly mentioned, it would have to be side loaded.

Garbage? Depends on what you need. In my case it was the number of bookmarks, that got synchronized with the PC version, that made me happy.
Although I admit: the native browser is my preferred browsing experience.

There is an app called fox sync that will sync your bookmarks. However it doesn't seem to do passwords. Maybe this will help you out

Oh, thank you. I've actually been wondering how to do what the OP is asking, too.

I'm on the latest OS. Says so right in my post. I've downloaded from Snap. I guess it isn't the right one. I'll pass. Thanks anyway.

Latest OS is on 2102 not 537 aka 1925, the version of firefox you need to get is v23 https://app.box.com/s/kvvfslkj9w4f4x68liz9 which is there if you scrolled up a bit...

Not officially from Rogers so I'll pass on a leaked OS. I shouldn't need it anyway as I've tried FF on 10.1.

It's not a leak as it's been released by several carriers around the world.
