I bought my z30 from Australia TOPBUY online store but I'm wondering why there is no LTE option in the network mode. Is there any other way of setting this up? Or is this phone not a LTE capable device?

It is LTE capable. Are you sure your carrier uses the same bands for LTE that this phone has: bands 3, 7, 8, 20?
Where are you, op?

Ok, I called my network provider and said that our lte band is lte 1800.

Awhile ago one of the network technician was here with me and he put his lte sim card in my z30 but couldn't find the 4G lte option as shown in the picture. What should I do?

As the other said STA100-2 should support 4G, Sam. Even my carrier doesn't support 4G yet, but it shows the option.

What's OS you're running on now? It may nothing to do with OS, but if I were you, I'll try to upgrade the OS. Try non-destructive upgrade first ( with Sachesi). And autoloader as the last option.

LTE troubleshooting:
1. Update your OS
2. Check with your operator that your tariff is LTE enabled.
3. Also, check if your SIM is of uSIM type with your operator. If you have older SIM, you will not be able to register to LTE network.
4. As previous poster said, check that your operator supports LTE bands of device. Beware: frequencies can be misleading - there are for example many "LTE 800" frequencies, which are different bands actually.
If all of above = true, and still no results :
5. Check SIM with other device you know works with LTE. This will alow to pinpoint the problem to mobile or operator/sim.

So meaning something is wrong with my phone. Is there a way to fix this?

Tomorrow I will try to visit my carrier to check for solutions to this. I'm currently at software version 10.2.1.2977 and OS 10.2.1.3247. As what I mentioned in the above post my local carrier has lte 1800.

Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.3247 and I'm on 4G, so yes.

Yes, it is capable.
I'm using same model of BB Z30. But sometimes if your mobile operator not capable with 4G network, your phone did not show you a 4G option. Sometimes u need to change your Sim card from normal to 4G Sim card.

Z30 STA 100-2 , 10.2.2.932 , Azercell Mobile Operator.
Yes my carrier is 4G capable and I put a 4G SIM in my phone but then no sign of 4G selection in the network setting of my phone. Tomorrow I'll know it once I visit my carrier. Then I'll get back here once I find it out. Thank you all for the kindness.
Cheers.

Dear OP see where it says "APN settings?" tap that then "reset defaults"
Also check if your SIM card is 4G capable.
Tell me if it pops up then.

Finally, I was able to visit my local carrier just to find out that they don't have yet lte sim card for BlackBerry and iphone. They offer me a 4G LTE mini wifi but I refuse to get one. They will notify me once they have.
Upgrades is just too slow here in Papua New Guinea. But everyday is a great day with my z30. My co-workers were always complaining about the signal and I just smile at them that I don't have any problem with my connection. When they got edge I got 3G with full bars. Even my wife complains and always telling me that she'll have my Z30 soon.
Thank you all for the help. I'll just wait for the right time to have my 4G sim card.

Wait, what's an LTE SIM card for BlackBerry and iPhone? The newer iPhones take a different sized SIM cards (nano SIM,) but the Z30 takes the same size as most Android phones (micro SIM.) Is that what they meant-that they were out of LTE micro SIMs?
Yes, they don't have the micro sim yet and what my local carrier do is they do a different set-up for BlackBerry phones. Thats what the guy explained to me. 4G lte is just a week old here.

Make sure they're not confusing BB10 with older BBOS which required special data plans called BIS. In most places, BB10 does not require BIS. It works off of generic data plans too.
Digicel in Barbados also has a "special plan" for *any* BlackBerry (BB10 or BBOS),.. BB10 devices literally cannot connect to data (and the BlackBerry symbol doesn't show up) unless you activate "a BlackBerry plan". So I wouldn't be surprised if it's like that in other places.

Swap your SIM to normal micro uSIM like for Galaxy IV and most probably it would work.

My local carrier knows BlackBerry since z10 is always available here bit z30 has nowhere to be found in any of their retail store.
Yes, BlackBerry has their special data plan here which is way more expensive compare to android and ios data plan.

Sounds like BIS. They're still forcing BIS on people in some places--for whatever reason--even though BB10 doesn't need it. I wonder if they get the traditional benefits of BIS then?
Sam, your carrier's setup sounds like BIS too. What a shame.
Raino, yes it is really shameful that the local carrier here still has this system here for BlackBerry. I see a lot of BlackBerry here though those OS 6 and 7 and very few of the os 10 and just imagine 40$ for 900mb of data plan.

I am.based at Dubai. Using STA 100-2. It supports all network.
Good for you there in Dubai and maybe most part of the world but it's a lot different here in Papua New Guinea where 4G is just a week old and even 3G is so unstable. Specially at 7pm -11pm you can hardly get good connection. We're hoping that the system will get better soon.
