My Z30 just went off on its own, notification light comes on when the power button is pressed and it also indicate changing when connected to a charge...but the screen remain blank...

Thanks very much, but when I tried that, there came up light on the screen for less than a second, and it went blank again.....

Hi, I've got Z30 too
Once my phone acted similar to your description
In my case it started work again after I let it fully charged and switch it on again - sometimes a few hours of rest was enough for my phone (when I drop it or its temperature become too low - outside was -15 Celsia)
