My Blackberry z10 only charges when connected to a pc but does show on the pc, what could be the solution to this cause i need to reload my phone software but I can't cause it won't show.

It doesn't need to show when using an autoloader.

Just try it.

I assumed you had installed BlackBerry Link at some point. One of the installation options is the BB10 USB driver.

I have it installed but when i connect the phone it is only charging... at some points it shows in devices and printers for less that 5 seconds

Stay connected, run autoloader, and reboot device. See if it catches.

My experience is that BB10 devices are not treated like USB drives and don't automatically open in a window. My phone's internal memory and SD card were mapped by Windows to drive letters Y and Z.

If you open My Computer and find your main hard drive (C: drive) and keep looking down the list you should find your phone at the bottom of the list, as long as you have the BB10 drivers installed that come with BlackBerry's Link software.

Once you've found your phone you can put a Shortcut for it on the Desktop and use that next time.

In your Z10, open Settings, then USB. Make sure you have the Charge Only Mode set to off.
