I'm updating my z10 stl100-1 from 10.3.1.1337 to 10.3.2.2339. All functions ok except bbm won't connect anymore (call, email, browse, bb world, install app all ok). No problem on registering bbm (HRT). No issue on both carrier data plan or wifi. Reboot, power off, +hold power, battery pull, re install core and radio by sachesi didn't solve bbm problem.
On the other side, I also can't use blackberry protect because it is unavailable. It ask bb id and password but leaving and entering that menu again will pop up an error and bb protect status is off again. I never bothered using this function, and afaik is busted since 10.3.1.
Is 2 problem above related? Please help.

I think it has something to do with the update.
Are you still using the same BB ID when your phone is in 10.3.1.1337 to 10.3.2.2339?
Because as I remember when you do update your phone to 10.3.2 you have to input the same BB ID as it is in 10.3.1.

I do bought it 2nd hand from friend (had thoroughly wiped clean too) , though there is no problem for me upgrading from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1 back then (same ID I used since BB 9300 days)
Are you suggesting that I should use my friend's BB ID to 'unlock' bbm? Since BB protect is not complaining about wrong ID/pass.
Don't this anti theft feature supposedly locking all functions or instead just bbm connectivity?

nb. on 10.3.1 after reboot/power off/battery pull my z10 always ask pass for BB login. I don't know if this normal or not. It has been long time from 10.2.1 days and the very reason I upgrade to 10.3.2 is because lately my 10.3.1 Z10 is having strange behaviour on alarm+browsing+power/battery combination.

Update : trying bb protect with my friend's bb id (previous owner) didn't work. Just re-display bb id and password dialog box again like nothing ever happened before.
I'm running out of options, which kind of ironic because blackberry hand set unable to connect bbm
Any help is appreciated
