    Is the video that you're trying to watch embedded on another website, or are you watching it straight from the youtube website?

    I have the same problem too, mine too doesnt play in the background, started days before the general youtube error and ever since then, it hasnt been fix. This is frustrating.

    Clear the browser cache and restart the phone(eventualy take out the battery for a few minutes)
