It's too soon to know. 10.3.1 hasn't even been released yet.

Its common, in BlackBerry 10 phones, all model will get 10.xx.xx.xx updates, one should be worried when 10 ends and 11 starts.

As the platform is only two years old... not sure you can really say anything is "common". We aren't even sure that 10.4 will be called 10.4 at release. BlackBerry might decide between now and then to call it BB11.

OP there is no way to really know yet if the "legacy" BB10 devices will be updated.... heck there really is no guarantee that even the Passport or the Classic will see BB10.4. Or that BlackBerry will even exist a year from now as a smartphone manufacture or as an independent company.

Brand new phones (Classic and Rio?) are just entering the market now with the same processor as the Z10. As long as the new devices get updates, I'm sure the Zs and Qs will too.

Nothing is guaranteed of course, but BlackBerry would have to go out of its way to prevent it by intentionally not releasing radio files for the older phones.

I heard a rumor that 10.4 will be the last for the first gen devices.
Like the Z10, Q10, Q5.
But then again the Classic has pretty just the same specs as the Z10 and Q10 and I don't see them dropping Classic support so quickly.
