Almost 100% sure the Classic uses a Micro Sim.
But either way you will need a new sim. I think the old BlackBerry devices took a mini Sim.

You'll need a nano SIM. You could cut down your current SIM card to nano size, or just get a new nano SIM from your carrier. I would recommend the latter.

True, I had to pay $1.49 for a new Sim Card when upgrading to my Q5 from my 8520.

Also you no longer will need a BIS plan for your phone... so depending on your carrier there could be some changes needed with your plan. That might save you a little each month - or it might not.
