Will an open source BB10 provide blackberry with enough cash to start over?

I think if new manufacturers be interested in this project (open source BB10) they will supply bb with amounts of money to be paid to the developers so they make versions of their apps for the BB OS. Otherwise, what's the point of making it open source?
What makes companies buy the license? Well, it's a small business wich already has enough fan bases to start with for one. There's a great number of skilled workers in the third world that needs to work on any given opportunity for business .
Also the market needs some variety indeed; just imagine smartphone world consists of only ios and android ..... what makes a nerd distinguished? What makes a rich person differentiate him or herself from the public? I think even a person with an iPhone or a sg note very average if people keeping look like each other more & more as we see now.

Who said it would be open source? If it became open source, there would be next to nothing left after BlackBerry stripped the proprietary parts out of it.

So, use skilled third world workers to develop and make the hardware while paying dozens of app companies multiple millions to develop BB10 versions of apps and selling them to rich people who don't think that an iPhone is good enough for them? Sounds like Porsche Design strategy but much, much, more expensive to execute.
