As whatsapp and other social apps declared that they will stop supporting bb10 after Dec 2016, I am worried as these are important apps for anyone. Plus, there is lack of app support. So, will these be a problem after Dec 2016?

Don't worry, it will be OK, but in case you haven't heard, BlackBerry, doesn't make the Z10 anymore and hasn't sold them for years.
If you depends on those apps would be better if you consider getting android or ios
I'm slowly switching more over to BBM even though BBM group chat is not as good as WhatsApp yet. Hopefully BBM will be more consistent soon.
