In short, your UNLOCKED Canadian Classic will work in EU, but you won't get 4G speeds. 3G and that improved 3G ( H+) is the fastest speed you'll get. I have a Canadian z30 and that's my situation on Three in UK. To be honest with you, 3G is fast enough for me. I don't miss the 4G I had in Canada with my phone.

If you're traveling to EU temporarily, then get a Canadian Classic and live without 4G in EU. However, if you are going to EU permanently, get the Classic meant for EU market.

BTW, the situation works in reverse too. An EU Classic will work in Canada but not at 4G speeds.

You may get some 4G in Europe with the Canadian Classic, because it does have that LTE band 7, and some carriers have b7 networks. Same with the European Classic in Canada: Bell and Rogers have b7 LTE networks, and b7 is present in the European Classic.
