    Went to answer a text yesterday and the screen just went black. The red light will flash once every so often.

    That doesn't sound good...did you try a restart by holding down the volume buttons until the Blackberry logo shows up. Make sure it has a good charge before you attempt this. just to make sure its not the battery.
    Might help if we knew what version of Z10 you are using and what OS you were running when this happened
