Why won't my Classic power down?

Hello,
Today I tried to restart my Blackberry, and it seems to be stuck on the start-up screen. The LED is blinking from messages, I received a phone call and my ringtone played, but all i can see is the "Blackberry Classic" screen.

Holding the power button will bring up the "turning off in 3..." screen, but nothing happens past that once it counts down. Both hard and soft resets have had no effect, and i let the phone sit for 30 minutes with no change.

My only idea now is to let the battery drain and see if that fixes anything. Any thoughts or suggestions?

That's a new one.

Will your device connect to Sachesi? Maybe if you hit it again with the same core OS you are using now it might kickstart it again.

Alternatively you could make an autoloader using Darcy's Tools with just the core OS and run it.

Both would be non-destructive.

Sure you can always reload with Link, or better yet run an autoloader, but these will wipe your device.
