I updated to 10.3.2.2168 today, and after I noticed a new Amazon app. It is not the Amazon App Store, this is an app I have never seen before and it inserted itself on the first screen, pushing all my apps and folders back 1 space. Also I cannot delete it by holding down (no trash can appears).

Can someone explain why BlackBerry forced a new Amazon shopping app on me with this new update? And is it possible to remove it?

The fact you updated today means that your carrier probably availed themselves of the opportunity to push something new. Now, question is; is it the functional app, or is is a shortcut to download the app?

It can't be removed. I hid mine in a folder with other apps that I'm hiding from view.

It's the Amazon app, which comes with the 10.3.2 OS updates. Not carrier specific to my knowledge. Neither it, nor Amazon App Store can be deleted.

Just hide it inside a folder.... or use it! Amazon is a pretty great place to get good deals on things.

It's pretty much what I do and labeled "crap apps"

I'm perplexed! How did we get stuck with an app which I can't even tell what it is/does b/c it wants access to *everything* and there is no way I'm allowing it??? When all I wanted was ability to 'find a word' in a remember note.

Amazon app has nothing to do with the Remember app, so I am perplexed with your mention of it.

Just don't sign in to the new Amazon app, hide it in a junk app folder even.

When all I wanted... from this OS update...
No connection indeed, just my very short rant. If it's against forum rules, sorry.
That app takes up 31 mb which I'd really rather use otherwise.

Not against forum rules. 31 mb out of 13 gb available after OS shouldn't be too worrisome in my opinion.

You can use Sachesi's tools to remove it. I forget the .bar name but I'm sure it's listed somewhere.
