I have had the passport for about a week now and I love it! But the thing is my screen is not so bright unless I increase the brightness substantially and I don't want to anyways so that I can extend the battery life. But sometimes the screen just gets soooo bright, then I would have to reduce it in the settings then in the next couple of minutes it becomes very dimmed!

Can anybody please suggest anything that I could try?

    There's a sensor
Depending on how much or how little light hits the sensor
    The screen will adjust accordingly.

And can you turn the sensor off? I always had to on older bb's cause I hated the auto adjustment. It was always annoying.

Nope. Sadly BlackBerry 10.3 still doesn't support the feature.

I hope they put the option in. My windows tablet does the same thing. There is an option and I turned it off.

The auto dimming drives me nuts too, but my concern is that it drains a lot of battery power.
