    Go to Contacts>Settings and scroll down to "Search for contact details." Is the blue box checked? If so, that might be why. If that's not it, the Skype app has something to do with syncing contacts in its settings. I'm not sure if it can be altered. That might be it.

    Go to Contacts/ Settings/ and toggle off the contacts you don't want to show in the contacts app.

    The search for contacts is off and Skype isn't an option to toggle and off for contacts.
