after downloading newest os the notification volume is very low for phone, bbm, text etc. all setting are to maximum levels but still can barely hear the ring

I'm having the same issue with notification (ringer, text, email, ect) volume after update. I have all turned to highest setting but can barely hear it. Tried restart, did not help. Also takes about 45 minutes to load my contacts after restart....frustrating!!

I'm having the same issues on my Z30 STA100-5. Notifications can barely be heard. Hope they fix this soon!

I started a thread about this but mine I think has been taken down not sure why I'm having awful issues with the volume on my PassPort since the update they ringer is fine and as loud as it was before but the notifications for everything else texts, email, app updates, everything is by far under what half volume use to be at maximum now is - if that makes sense, hope BlackBerry sort it asap also media playback Is a fraction of what it was I couldn't find better external speakers on a phone with the PassPort as demo'ed on "its me JC's" Youtube channel page - but now its so quiet I miss most notifications unless its a call.

I'd suggest a clean update i.e. updating through an autoloader after backing up media and app data, that fixes the issue. It's not an ideal solution, but something that needs to be done.

There have been other threads on the same issue, that's why. The solution is a clean update.
