You seem to be very bad informed. You should read my Play Store thread here on Crackberry. Installation is so simple that a monkey could do it. And it doesn't require Google Play services to be installed to run the store.

Getting Google Play Store to work on BB10 device requires some hackery, and updating might well mess it up! Might need to wipe your device and start over, at the very least you need to delete the play store and start over....

Try asking for help in that thread also.

Google play is crashing because you don't have Android's google play services (downloading and installing Google Play Services would not help). Like Pkcable said, making it work requires some hackery. Your best bet is to uninstall Google Play and use the Amazon App store.

Go into settings and turn off auto updates so it doesn't update itself on you.

The update settings in the options menu do not affect the selfupdate of Play Store. It just controls the autoupdating of installed apps.

To permanently turn off selfupdate of the Play Store you'll have to update Play Store to the latest version, which is 5.3.6. Only this version has the patch that prevents selfupdates.
