i have blackberry Q5 with very strange problem. when i search contact name on the phone contact app, the name does not exist. however, when i input the number for calling, the name shows up. could you please help me?

Need a little more information. Are you searching in the home screen contacts app or in the phone app contacts. There's a difference depending on how you have your contacts linked. Contacts in the phone app are local contacts.
