While typing a text message, if any part of my finger touches the on-off button, it immediately takes me out of the text message, and reverts to a home screen. Usually this would happen by DEPRESSING the on-off button......but now this same button is touch-sensitive, meaning that if you even barely glance it while typing a "p" or "o" it takes me directly to a home screen, just as if I depressed that button. Can anybody help me with this? Why is this happening?

Maybe the button is on its deathbed and before going out it has become overly sensitive.
