Why is my BlackBerry Passport dropping network constantly?

I recently just picked up a BlackBerry Passport. It's amazing phone love everything about it except the fact that I have in consistent network coverage.

I am currently on rogers.

The phone is unlocked. It's working right now on lte but when I am driving to the mall I have no reception when usually I would have really good connection it always says emergency calls only it's really annoying as I miss lots of texts emails and calls help plss

I lose my Rogers network a lot also.

So take the phone into Rogers and get Sim replaced?
