I have a silver Blackberry Passport and the battery started to drain really fast even in airplain mode. I managed to get a replacement from eBay and replaced it but it's still doing the same.

It can go from 100% to dead over night in airplane mode.

Anyone know what this could be? Is it dead?

Go to quick settings, device monitor, cpu. What is eating battery?

Nothing seems to be eating it that's the strange thing! Could part of the hardware cause this to happen? It seems to get warm in the top left corner when charging too.

Everything should settle to zero, apart from "system" stabilizing at about 3-4%.

If this is the case, and your new battery is still draining quickly, then it was probably sitting on a shelf for the last 5 years and is no good.

I did what you said and noticed that Spotify was using 5% even when it want open and with radios off!

Deleted it and now the battery is amazing.

Here's another tip that may help - especially with android apps such as Spotify, but you can do this with all apps including native. Go Settings/App Manager/Application Permissions/Tap on each app and disable "Run When Minimized"
