Why do you think they launched the Key 2 in the US? I live in the US and am happy to host the launch but it seems from a market standpoint all indicators are the US is a smaller market compared to other markets. So why not hold the launch in the market that has a higher sales?

Is it because they are hoping to gain traction in the US?
Is it because of news coverage compared to other markets?
Is it because they wanted to do it in a English speaking market and not offend a non-English native market by holding the launch in English there?

Just seems odd if the US market is smaller that they would "Launch" it here but not have dates for sales in the US etc.

I'm sure you don't "know" but I was curious on your thoughts.

Because it's the US and NYC. And when you want media attention and eyeballs on your announcement you bring it to their backyard.

Might be that even poor sales in the US is better than great sales in comparatively tiny markets like Canada, GB or UAE? While India and Indonesian might have more BlackBerry users left at this point... BBMo doesn't have the rights in those markets, and it not a great fit for those markets anyway.
