Whenever I take a picture, the new image will show up in the lower right corner of the Camera App, but it will not show in the pictures app. I have tried using the internal memory of the phone as well as the SD card and still nothing. The images will show up in the pictures app when I restart or do a hard reset (up/down volume). Also, it is always possible to access them with a file explorer (the thumb shows up grey, but if I open it it will show the proper image)

    I have a new z30 STA100-5 Running

Same issue here. Never got it fixed. I hope someone can help us out. I think it's just a core OS issue with the SD csrd

I had an issue with my SD card after loading the update. Try this.....open your phone and remove the sd card.reboot. after the phone boots up, insert the card back in and see if that works for you.

It will not index new images nor de-index deleted images. The worst part is that I though about doing a clean swipe and installing 10.3 but its not available down here yet. is there a way for me to get it from an official source?

Well good news. I had your issue as I stayed prior, but after the update this is all gone. Finally I took a pic and it showed in the picture folder!
