On my BlackBerry Classic running BB 10 (release 10.3.2.556), the audio quality of videos and voice recordings has changed all of a sudden. Previously, the audio of videos was stereo (because of the stereo microphone). However, for some reason, now the audio sounds mono, it is more muffled, and there are many compression artifacts. Strangely, I have not changed any settings since then, and even though the audio sounds much worse (as if it is now using a different codec or bit rate), it seems that the audio sample rate, bit rate, and bit depth have not changed. This problem is not isolated to the Camera application; it also applies to voice notes recorded in the Remember application.
Yesterday I preformed a factory reset, and the problem is still there. I am assuming this is a problem with an audio driver, because I could not find any settings that could have changed the audio quality this much. Is there any way I might be able to fix this?
