so recently I got my Z10 STL-100-01 and I'm loving it! so one thing I noticed is that my device turns off(like on low battery) when the battery is on 8 or 18%. what can this be? please help :(

It shuts down to protect your device from corrupting the file system.
You shouldn't let it get that low anyway.
Go into setting and "battery saving mode," to set it to you liking.
Same problem with me... but I do not get any battery saving mode in my setting mode please advise me
Well, (imo) and in my many years of experience helping people here, I'd load the latest leak. It's as stable as you can get and the battery life is awesome .
If you're going to wait for an "Official" release from your carrier, you may wait a long time and miss out on what thousands of us Blackberry users are already enjoying.
If you're content running an older OS then you'll have to be content with the many problems that are to be expected in those leaks!
There's no easy answer here.
A lot of people are (unnecessarily) uncomfortable with Leaks and I respect that.
You have to decide for yourself what you think is best!
What actually you r suffering through is 'battery off Sync' problem

We are already aware that there is a problem.
It would be much appreciated if you could be more helpful and explain to the OP what you mean by "battery off sync" and how to fix the problem.
I have no idea how you would sync a battery but I'd like to hear your explanation.... truely.
It is a system error, in which the actual battery life and the one your phone shows is different from each other
Like in your case: actual battery life is 0% while your phone shows 18%, it is a miss match of virtual and real battery indication...

Its common problem with Z10. I had it too
Your phone's battery and System is off Sync
What you need to Do is.:
1.Use your phone till get switched off (note the % on which phone switches off)
2.use original charger and charge through wall charging socket (not with pc or laptop)
3.charge for 5-10 min when phone boots up and start properly, remove the battery from phone, remember charging process much be on.. dont remove cable or turn charging down at any point.
4.your battery logo in phone will be red outlined keep the phone aside after few min it will turn off automatically
5.after 30min of wait put battery in side and battery level will be
