I am using a BlackBerry Q10. When I move a bunch of photos from my camera folder (the default save location when taking a photo) to a new or existing folder, it changes the date of the photo to the time I moved it (instead of keeping the date of when I took the photo). For example, if I select 15 photos from 3-6 months ago and move them to a folder, they show as taken today and appear at the top of my picture grid when sorted by date. Is this supposed to happen? I want the photos to be in order of date taken.

Are you moving photos using the Pictures app or File Manager? On the File Manager, just select the overflow button (three dots), then Sort, select Name (if the image name is the date and time it was taken).

I know this is an old thread but I wish I'd have seen this sooner, moving photos with the gallery app led to me losing the dates my photos were taken. Now I've got really old photos with creation dates set to the dates they were moved.

    Nice one BlackBerry, software company.
