    after a security wipe all my default apps were gone and now it is telling me to update my playbook to verison but my playbook shows that it alredy has the latest software in it and when i try to download the update then the update keeps on downloading even after 100 percent

    Why did you do a security wipe on the playbook? Was there an issue?

    Plug your PB in to your PC and then reboot. While it's rebooting, the desktop manager should give you an option to reload your OS. Choose that and let it do a full reinstall. That should give you your apps (default) back and resolve any OS issues preventing the update from completing.

    You might just need to reboot. I had the same thing happen to me after I picked one up used and I freaked out at first but after a simple reboot it was fine. Only the stock browser showing, by chance? Fear not. I believe, for whatever reason, it just doesn't reboot automatically after the update and that's all it needs.
