    Hi all

I changed my fathers Gmail password on a laptop. Now his Blackberry is asking him to confirm his username and password on his blackberry(not for his gmail). Is this necessary? Why is it asking for this when we have not changed anything on the Blackberry itself?

If he clicks on forgot password it gives him a hint. No one can remember this password or what the hint intimates to.

Is there somewhere he can take it that will help him? Or some online help he can seek out?

This is now a standard security feature with most accounts and devices. Neither Google nor BlackBerry can tell whether such password changes are legitimate or not. This is necessary in order to protect the security of the account or device
