    If I only any platform on my Blackberry Z3 the app will open and then close almost instantly. I got the device about 2 or 3 months ago and it's been great until now. I haven't installed any 3rd party apps, the specific apps in question here are things like BBM, WhatsApp and even my Pictures folder. It will open and then close within a few seconds.

    Well the Z3 has less RAM then other BlackBerry 10 devices it's possible that you don't have enough memory to open them.

    Try rebooting your device every once in a while. This usually frees up memory by removing deleting hidden cache, even more so by rebooting the device by holding the volume + and - buttons.
