    I use a blackberry Bold 9900....i just updated to whatsapp version 2.11.2145.....after restarting my phone all the contacts in the phonebook were not there anymore.....can someone help me in figuring this out and getting my contacts back.....i dont have my contacts backup handy at the moment

    Whatever happened, it was surely not planned by Whatsapp. Sadly there is nothing you can do BUT restore from a backup.

    If you have google/yahoo sync enabled, log into the service via browser and "undelete" your backups there. They should sync back once that's done.
