Hi guys,
after the update of the OS software into 10.3.1 on my Z10, each time I need to add a contact in my phone (SIM, local and to my MAC) I receive the above message. Contact cannot be saved because contact name exceeds 6 characters.
Does anybody have any idea on that? Do you issue the same problem?

OK, this one is really strange. There should be no such limit to the name field.

Did you try rebooting your device (hold the top buttom till you see a red LED and the BlackBerry logo - ignore on-screen prompts to turn off/reboot).

I had the same problem but instead of 6 characters it was 13 characters, to get around it I just re-added the contact and then it overwrote the other one.

I think you want to save this contact on your sim-card. I had this issue too, when i saved my contact on sim-card.

Oh you're right!

I don't rely on the SIM (it can burn out, phone can be stolen, etc - short version: contacts lost forever) so I would never think of this!
