I recently acquired a BlackBerry Classic as an upgrade to a BlackBerry 9900. In trying to transfer data to the newer phone, I've been stymied by not being able to open BlackBerry Link. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have anything with iTunes installed?
I have the same issue with Link. And yes, iTunes is on my pc. Do they not work together well?
My device: Z30/STA 100-5/OS v.10.3.3.2205
They do not
It's the same issue over and over again. While the now out of date, obsolete, and never to be updated Link does still work for some people, as time moves on, it breaks for more and more people.
It's now 2017 and especially for sync'ing contacts and calendar events, there are much better cloud based solutions available.
You should still be able to connect to your PC with USB to copy files even if Link no longer works.
