Why can I not restore to my back-up file after a factory reset + software upgrade?
Some apps on my phone were behaving weirdly for the last few weeks, so I decided to do a factory reset on the device, hoping that would fix the problem. I backed up my files on Blackberry Link and started a factory reset that took, oh, about a full day. My device finally switched on properly again and asked me to set up. It apparently upgraded too, to the newest software. Before the factory reset, I was using the default 10.1 (?) version. Not sure on the exact number, but I know it was one of the early - if not the earliest version - way before the 10.2's now out. I selected "restore the device from back-up" in Blackberry Link's Restore option button, but it said that I could not use the backed up (note, it was a full back-up!) file because the Blackberry ID associated with the device was not the same as the one on the back-up file.
