Why is a BlackBerry Z10 still showing ten attempts after entering wrong passwords?

i have a blackberry z10 which says reload software, and am trying to flash it using an auto loader. this phone has a password and when i put the password, it does not begin the flashing but still gives me the same ten attempts. even when i enter a wrong code it still gives me ten attempts again. is there any way of working it out? please help!

Have you downloaded the software, plugged your phone in to your PC and run the autoloader? When done do a security wipe. You will have no personal data on the phone, including passwords. Then you can set it up again.
