Why am I repeatedly asked for more free space to update to OS 10.3.1?

The update asked for 450 MB free space and I moved my files and then asked for 900 MB again, I deleted the very few Apps, I had on my bb z3. It started and nite long, I kept the wifi on and phone on charge and I wake up in morning and I see, that the download was interrupted and needs more space. I couldn't believe it. And now what the update needs 1.5 GB free. Where so I get it from. My settings storage shows 5 GB used out of 8 GB, that means I have 3 GB free and the system OS has taken 2.8 GB. And all other little little tiny apps make the other memory. Now what do I do? And what about 3 GB free memory that I have? There is some serious problem with the new update. Kindly Help.

No serious problem with the update.

You can:

• delete apps;
• delete messages;
• delete message attachments;
• clean browser cache;
• clean app's other caches;

Reboot after that's done. If you still can't update, plug to BB Link. It will download to your PC and install on your device.

They really f'd up with the Z3 and the limited space on it.

Finding a computer and using LINK to install the update might be your best answer....

If you don't have access to one.... reboot your device and then try again. If that doesn't work, your could do a security wipe and then during the setup let it update.... but you would lose any info not saved to the cloud or to your SD card.

Extra space would have cost an additional $3 in manufacturing and would have added greatly to the cost of the Z3... they would have never have been able to compete with all of the sub $100 phones coming out in these "developing" markets and thus the Z3 wouldn't have been competitive. :eek:
