I had huge amount of messages in the history for one contact, that slowed down sending, so I deleted the contact to get rid of the messages. that didn't work.. after restoring the contact all messages came back.

But it got even worse, since then all text from that contact doesn't come trough to the hub, and doesn't notify. the only way I could see the new messages from that contact, is to start creating a text to that person, that creates like a draft message and it loads the history.

Any help on how to get again text messages from that person?

Maybe you need to delete that Chat itself. Starting fresh might fix it.
There were some earlier versions of BB10 OS that had that problem a lot. I hope for the most part it's been fixed.

I tried to delete the chat it self, it just doesn't go away.. (it disappears for the moment, but comes back when I start sending a message to that number)

I'm on the 10.3.1 OS. so updating is not a option...
