I just saw your post I figured I give you my 2cents. It all depends where you go if you come to Ontario well Toronto is a must as you really get the feel for how multicultural the country is. Niagara Falls as if you haven't seen a water fall of that magnitude before it is something else. Ottawa if you like it has some great nature views but lacks an identity. Ottawa is trying to be another Toronto. Montreal and Quebec City are musts if you go to Quebec. Vancouver and Victoria are musts in BC. If in Alberta Banff you have to go there and stopping by Edmonton and Calgary.

Toronto has an abundance of craft breweries. Mill St, Amsterdam and Steam Whistle breweries are Downtown and all have pubs connected to them. Plus there about another dozen that I know about that make craft beer some sell to the beer store some only out their own store.

How much time do you have, how much money do you want to spend, and where do you plan to fly in? Do you want to drive or fly between destinations? For example if you plan to fly to Toronto (Canada's largest international airport with direct flights from the UK and Europe), you could rent a car and drive west, but it will take a week or so to reach Vancouver. You would see lots of trees, mountains and wonderful scenery but perhaps more than you really want. Some visitors rent motor homes or other RV's to travel. If you prefer to fly between cities, it will likely cost more, but save travel time, and you would be more limited to major cities. If you are truly adventuresome, you can hire a float plane to reach remote locations to enjoy nature at its fullest. Alternatively, you could spent your entire vacation in a city such as Toronto, and still only touch a small part of it.

Canada is a wonderfully beautiful country with rich history, interesting tourism destinations and many available activities. If you have a specific hobby,or passion such as boating, canoeing, hunting, fishing, bird watching, camping, hiking, skiing, exploring culture or just testing local brews and wines, you will find all of these activities readily available.

Unless you really enjoy winter activities (i.e. freezing your buns off), plan your vacation between May and October. The warmest weather is generally in July and August.

As others have said, some of the nicest major cities with unlimited activities are Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Smaller cities such as Ottawa, Victoria, and Kingston are exceptional destinations that I enjoy. Waterloo has interesting activities such as Octoberfest and nearby farmer's market (rather than BB headquarters) and only an hour or so from Toronto. Niagara Falls is a few hours from Toronto and offers activities such as a large casino, great kid things, and of course the Falls which are truly amazing. Stratford and Niagara on the Lake both have world class theatre throughout the summer. I am located in eastern Ontario, so a bit of a bias. We have some great wine tasting tours in Prince Edward County along with other exceptional outdoor activities through four seasons.

So lots of options but you will need to pick your or your family's preferences and plan from there. And since this is a BlackBerry forum, don't forget to bring your BlackBerry device.

It sounds like "Niagara-on-the-Lake" (a small town in the Niagara Falls area) would work well for you. There are numerous vineyards and wine producers in the area, as well as the "Shaw Festival Theatre". Many hotels and restaurants are available or "Bed and Breakfast". A fairly easy drive from Toronto.

Canadian wine has limited export because.....we drink it all!!

The town of Niagara Falls tends to be a more touristy and becoming too Las Vegas like for my taste.....Niagara-on-the-Lake is more subdued.

Depends on what you want to experience. Montreal and Quebec and Vancouver are great cities. Algonquin Park and the Dempster highway through Yukon and northwest Territories is amazing, but be prepared. Gros Morne National park is a world heritage site and the people in Newfoundland are awesome.

There are some very nice wine tasting opportunities in BC's scenic, sunny Okanagan Valley between Kelowna and Osoyoos.

I'd have to say Newfoundland, a little biased but eh the oldest Canadian city being St. Johns you can find tons of stuff to do and Gros Morne National Park is amazing for sightseeing ... but Newfoundland is a summer visiting city. Winters are too crazy here..
