Now that we are continually being notified that whatsapp will no longer function on Q10 as from December 2016, what do we do now? Does it mean my Q10 will become useless as the app I use most on my phone is Whatsapp? Thanks in anticipation for ur reply.

Basically see if the Android version works in 2017, if not then get a Android or IOS device

Yes, I think you should wait before purchasing a new phone. If you are saving for a new phone, it means you don't have the money now, so you should wait and see. By all means, save money, but be willing to try other things and see if it works on your existing phone.

I recall a thread on this forum how someone got the Android version to work. It wasn't an easy workaround, but it worked. Let me find it and post a link. It is worth a try since you could save some money (which is something we could all use a little extra of... except maybe Bla1ze of course).

They may be newer or other workarounds, but this is the one I remember. Worth a shot, in my opinion.
