No. They have already delayed the end date once and no one expects them to do it again.

Doubt there are any "talks" going on.... it's not just BlackBerry, many older apps using older API will stop working.
Just a matter of is WhatsApp ready for the change and how many users are still using all those older API. Would not be surprised to see another delay.... but I wouldn't count on it either.
