Thanks everyone. This app is not in the Amazon app store and I don't know how to side load Snap, so I guess I'm out of luck. Grrrrrrrrr!!!
I suppose it's part of the move to Android but it's really annoying.
It's Blackberry's fault because it should not be an acceptable practice to allow an app developer to 'retire' a product with a phantom update. Additionally, the NFL is a major partner, there is no reason not to ensure some level of participation with the sports community. It's poor business.

I agree. If the NFL was looking to discontinue their support for BB devices. They should have been told to remove their app from BBW. They shouuld not have been allowed to dupe the app users into thinking there was an app update, with the intent of using this phantom update to make the current version of the app entirely useless . This app is still in BBW for anyone to update, just to find out they cant use it. When Flixster stopped their support, they removed their app from BBW.
I doubt they informed BlackBerry in advance about their discontinuation

But once the complaints started pouring in, they should have been told to remove their app from BBW. The way they discontinued their app was very annoying. On the other hand, why even be surprised. The NFL app is supported by Verizon. They probably even encouraged it, given their disdain for Blackberry.
